ODI: Five ASEAN countries are leading examples of development progress

Five South East Asian countries have been singled out as leading examples of progress in development in a new report from the UK based Overseas Development Institute. The report highlights progress in Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos across four different areas of development ... material wealth, health, education and political voice. As Dr Liesbet Steer, project leader on the Development Progress Stories, ODI, explained to Radio Australia, the situations may not be perfect but certain aspects of life are improving, some at impressive rates.
